How We Handle Your Complaint

Every complaint follows a clear, fair process. Here is what you can expect after you get in touch.

Acknowledgement

We acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 2 business days and confirm who will be handling it.

Investigation

We investigate the matter thoroughly, speaking with relevant staff and reviewing any documentation.

Response

We provide a full written response within 10 business days, including our findings and any actions taken.

Review

If you are not satisfied, you may request an internal review or escalate to an external body.

If you are not satisfied with our response, or prefer to raise your concern with an independent body, the following organisations can assist you at no cost.

NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission

The NDIS Commission handles complaints about registered NDIS providers. They can investigate concerns about the quality and safety of supports, breaches of the Code of Conduct, and the use of restrictive practices.

The Commonwealth Ombudsman can investigate complaints about Australian Government agencies, including the NDIA. They provide a free, independent, and impartial service for people with concerns about administrative decisions.

Disability Advocacy Network Australia

DANA can connect you with a free, independent disability advocate who can support you through the complaints process, help you understand your rights, and speak on your behalf if needed.

If your complaint relates to discrimination, vilification, or a breach of your human rights under Victorian law, the VEOHRC can provide assistance and mediation services.
