Maria combines the warmth of an experienced service manager with the clinical credibility of an enrolled nurse, bringing a rare dual perspective to every participant she supports.
Maria is a Service Manager and Enrolled Nurse at Home Care Experts, and she brings a combination of clinical training and hands-on care coordination experience that is genuinely uncommon in the disability sector. Her nursing background means she does not just coordinate care from a distance. She understands what good clinical care looks like in practice and can recognise when something is not quite right.
In her role as Service Manager, Maria oversees a caseload of participants whose needs often sit at the intersection of nursing support and daily living assistance. Her clinical training as an enrolled nurse allows her to engage meaningfully with treating teams, interpret care plans, and have informed conversations about medication, wound care, and other clinical considerations without needing to refer every question upward.
Maria is particularly valued for her ability to communicate with participants who may be anxious, in pain, or navigating difficult circumstances. Her approach is always calm, direct, and deeply respectful. She understands that behind every support plan is a person who needs to feel safe and cared for, and she brings that awareness into every interaction.
She works closely with Rita and Ankit on clinical governance matters, and plays an active role in mentoring newer support workers who are learning to navigate complex care environments for the first time. Her combination of clinical skill and operational experience makes her an invaluable member of the HCE leadership team.

Manages the end-to-end coordination of support arrangements for a complex caseload, ensuring every plan is practical, person-centred, and clinically sound.
Provides informed oversight of clinical support tasks including medication management, wound care monitoring, and other enrolled nurse scope activities.
Acts as a strong advocate for participants, ensuring their voice is central to every care decision and that their rights and preferences are always respected.
Supports and mentors support workers navigating complex care environments, drawing on her clinical background to build team capability and confidence.
Maintains open, compassionate communication with families, providing clear clinical and care updates and supporting them through challenging periods.
