Shikhil is the Safety and Compliance Manager at Home Care Experts, and the person responsible for ensuring that every aspect of the organisation's operations meets or exceeds the requirements of the NDIS Practice Standards, the Quality and Safeguards Commission, and all applicable legislation. In a sector where compliance is not optional and the stakes are high, Shikhil's role is foundational.
His background spans quality management, risk and compliance in the health and disability sectors, and he brings a methodical, evidence-based approach to every system he builds and maintains. Shikhil develops and oversees HCE's incident management framework, risk registers, audit readiness programs, workforce compliance systems, and the policies and procedures that underpin safe service delivery across the organisation.
What sets Shikhil apart is that he does not treat compliance as a bureaucratic exercise. He understands that every policy, every risk control, and every audit response ultimately exists to protect real people, the participants who rely on HCE to keep them safe. That perspective shapes how he approaches his work and how he communicates the importance of compliance to the broader team.
Shikhil works closely with Rita and Ankit to ensure that the clinical and operational frameworks of the organisation are always current, audit-ready, and genuinely protective. He also leads the organisation's preparation for NDIS registration renewals and audits, and monitors regulatory updates to ensure HCE stays ahead of any changes to the compliance landscape.

Ensures HCE's service delivery and documentation practices remain fully compliant with NDIS Practice Standards and Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.
Oversees the organisation's incident management framework, ensuring all incidents are documented, investigated, and reported in line with regulatory obligations.
Maintains and reviews the organisation's risk register, identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across clinical, operational, and governance domains.
Leads HCE's preparation for NDIS audits and registration renewals, ensuring evidence is current, complete, and readily accessible.
Authors and maintains the policies and procedures that underpin safe, consistent, and compliant service delivery across the organisation.
Manages the compliance requirements of the HCE workforce including NDIS Worker Screening, mandatory training, and high intensity support qualifications.
